Angela Mendelovici – appointed as a Graham and Gale Wright Distinguished Scholar for 2021

Carolyn McLeod – named a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada

Francesca Vidotto – named Canada Research Chair in Foundations of Physics

2020

Chris Smeenk – named a Faculty Scholar by Western University in recognition of significant achievements in teaching & research

2019

Rob Corless – received the 2019 Halmos-Ford prize from the Mathematical Association of America for his paper entitled “Gamma and Factorial in the Monthly”

Anthony Skelton – appointed as a Graham and Gale Wright Distinguished Scholar for 2019

2018

Gillian Barker – awarded the Philosophy of Science Association Women’s Caucus Prize in Feminist Philosophy of Science for her book, Beyond Biofatalism: Human Nature for an Evolving World

Rob Corless – awarded Fellowship in Teaching Innovation Award for his project, “Computational Discovery on Jupyter”

Michael Anderson – named Rotman Family Foundation Canada Research Chair in Philosophy of Science

2016

Charles Weijer – named a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada

2015

Anthony Skelton – recipient of Western University Arts & Humanities Teaching Excellence Award

2014

Bill Harper – Patrick Suppes Prize (awarded by American Philosophical Association) for his book, Isaac Newton’s Scientific Method: Turning Data into Evidence about Gravity and Cosmology

Charles Weijer – Hellmuth prize recipient, awarded by the Western University Faculty of Arts and Humanities for Achievement in Research
