The Metaphysics Of Causation, Solved
In order to illustrate how Empirical Fundamentalism works in practice, I conduct an empirical analysis of causation. The result I present constitutes a comprehensive metaphysics of causation. I will lay out the whole theory and show how it resolves a wide range of issues in the literature on causation. In the third talk, I will discuss its application to causal asymmetry and Newcomb’s dilemma (and causal decision theory).
